Current Projects
Connext
The aim of the CONNEXT project is to further develop the microinvasive, endoscopic anastomosis system established in the predecessor project CONNECT into a fully endoluminal platform. By combining an actively steerable, hydraulically actuated overtube system with stiffening capability, additively manufactured hydraulic components for miniaturized end-effectors, and intelligent pressure-adaptive implants, CONNEXT seeks to enable the precise and safe realization of anastomoses within the gastrointestinal tract, thereby overcoming the limitations of conventional anastomotic techniques.
