Project Week - Applied Surgineering
What a great first week of the Project Week Applied Surgineering!
Within this first of two weeks the interdisciplinary team of highly motivated students got to know surgical procedures, identified challenges in the clinical field and created their own ideas for a solution in close feedback with medical experts at the TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar.
Within the next week the students will form small groups and develop prototypes and software, to implement their ideas intended to facilitate processes in the operating theatre.
Together with the Chair of Ergonomics (Prof. Bengler) and the Medical Autonomy and Precision Surgery lab (MAPS, Prof. Nasseri), we offer the opportunity to gain experience through this interdisciplinary collaboration.
A big thank you to our surgeons Prof. Dr. med. Dirk Wilhelm, Costanza Chiapponi, Jonas Fuchtmann and Dr. med. Maximilian Berlet for all the explanations, ideas and motivation during your surgeries!
